Fifteen states have adopted a Daily Fantasy Sports student sports carve out. Below are two early examples.
The Massachusetts Attorney General released final regulation “940 C.M.R. 34.00: Daily Fantasy Sports Contest Operators in Massachusetts,” which includes a provision titled “No DFS Games Based on Amateur Sporting Events” and dictates that DFS operators “shall not permit entry in DFS contests that include amateur, college, high school or student sporting events.”
Similarly, Indiana enacted Senate Bill 339, Sec. 9. (4) dictates that " [t]he statistical results of the performance of individuals . . . are not based on college or high school sports."
